  • Cook Time: 1 hour
  • Persons: 4
  • Difficulty: Easy

  • Ingredients
  • Cooking spray
  • 3 1/2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tbs baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 2 tbs Old Bay, divided
  1. Instructions
  2. Preheat oven to 250F. Adjust oven racks so that there is one rack in the upper third of the oven and a second rack in the bottom third of the oven.
  3. Line a baking sheet with foil and top with a cooling rack. Grease cooling rack well with cooking spray.
  4. In a large ziplock bag, toss together chicken wings, baking powder and salt. Lie chicken wings skin side up on the rack (wings will be close together on the tray).
  5. Bake the wings for 30 minutes at 250F on the lower of the two oven racks.
  6. After 30 minutes, increase heat to 425F and move chicken wings to the upper oven rack. Continue cooking wings for another 50-60 minutes or until skin is crispy and golden brown.
  7. Remove wings from the oven and prepare the Old Bay sauce.
  8. Melt butter in a large microwave safe bowl. Add in 1 tbs Old Bay and mix to combine. Add wings to the bowl and toss quickly, ensuring that both sides of each wing are covered in sauce. Remove coated wings from the bowl and set them back on the baking sheet. Top wings with an additional sprinkle of Old Bay, about 1 tbs worth total.
  9. Serve warm.
