I love recipes that keep things simple, especially when it comes to vegetables. These garlic sesame cauliflower steaks do just that. You can enjoy this as a side piece to your meal!

Garlic Sesame Cauliflower Steaks

  • Ingredients
  • 1/2 small cauliflower
  • 2 cups of fresh green peas
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seed oil
  • 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
  • Cayenne pepper and salt, to taste
  1. Instructions
  2. Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower. Cut the cauliflower from top to bottom into 1/2″ “steaks”
  3. Place the cauliflower steaks in a bowl, and add 2 teaspoons of soy sauce and 1/2 tablespoon of sesame seed oil
  4. Heat a pan, add 1/2 tablespoon of sesame seed oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute. Add the green peas, and cook for 4-5 minutes
  5. On a grill, place the cauliflower steaks and cook for 10 minutes OR
  6. If using a stovetop, cook the steaks on a non-stick pan for 7-10 minutes on each side under medium flame
  7. Serve the cauliflower on top of the green peas, and season with salt and cayenne pepper to taste.
